In the name of god amen the 19th daye of March 1617
I William Aborne of Chelveston cum Caldecote in the County of North’ton husbandman beinge sicke in bodye but of good & perfect memorye the lord be praysed doe thus make my last will & testament
Imprimis I bequeath my soule to almighty god that gave it hopinge for salvation in & by the bloud of Christ my Saviour My bodye to be buried in the churchyard of Chelveston as nere my father as maye be And my goods to the world as followeth:
Item I give & bequeath unto Robert my sonne the house wherein my mother now dwelleth & the orchyarde & the close now in the tenure of my mother And six lands of arable lande conteyninge by estimation one acre be it more of lesse to him & his heires for ever lyinge in the fieldes of Shelton in the County of Bedford with all the evidences there unto belonginge or apperteyninge which I lately purchased of Richard Marcome of Chelveston aforesaid Mason
Item I give & bequeath all the rest of my houses & lands unto Antony my sonne & to his heires for ever
Item I give & bequeath unto Thomasan my daughter ten pounds of good & lawfull money of England to be payde unto her at the age of twentye & one yeares or at the daye of her marriage wich shall first come
Item all the rest of my goods & chattels moveable & unmoveable whatsoever as yet unbequeathed I do give & bequeath unto Jhoan my now wife & Whome I do institute ordayne & make the full & sole executrix of this my last will & testament
