The Patronal Festival

The Patronal Festival of the Church of St. John the Baptist was celebrated on Wednesay. Holy communion was celebrated at 7.30 a.m. and choral evensong at 8 p.m., when the special preacher was the Rev. P. J. Richards, Vicar of St. Peter’s, Rushden. The festival will be continued on Sunday. Holy communion will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and sung at 11 a.m., and the preacher at evensong at 6 p.m. will be the Rev. C. C. Aldred, of Raunds. A flower service will be held at 2.30 p.m.
