The bride is the second daughter of Mrs. L. N. Robinson and the late Mr. C. Bird, and the bridegroom is the elder son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Baxter, of Chelveston.

Given away by her step-brother, Mr. J. Needham, the bride wore a figured white satin dress with a train and long veil held in place by a coronet. She also wore a locket and carried a bouquet of red roses and fern.

A nephew and three nieces of the bride - Master Richard Needham, Marguerite Horn, Patricia Horn and Shirley Needham were in attendance with a senior bridesmaid, Miss Barbara Chettle.

Marguerite and Miss Chettle were dressed in pale pink satin and Patricia and Shirley in pale blue satin-back marocain. Richard wore a satin blouse with long trousers.

The three small attendants had posies of anemones and signet rings (gifts of the bride and bridegroom); the pageboy carried a white hymnbook, and Miss Chettle, whose bouquet was of anemones, received a gift of pearl earrings from the bridal couple. Richard's gift was a Bible.

Mr. Alan Groom, of Raunds (friend of the bride) was best man. The Rev. H. S. Hoar officiated and Mr. R. B. Jephcoate played the organ.

Gifts included a table lamp from Borough Shoes Ltd., where the bride is forewoman of the shoe room, and an electric kettle to the bridegroom from his employer, J. H. Oberman, electrical engineer, Higham Ferrers.

The honeymoon is being spent at Worcester, the bride travelling in a nigger brown dress, hat and accessories, with an off-white coat.

Mr. and Mrs. Baxter will reside at Chelveston.
