Mission Room Band of Hope
The first meeting in connection with this society was held on Thursday, when a few friends from the Rushden Succoth Band of Hope provided the evening's programme. Miss M. Baker gave recitations and songs, while Mr. W. Lack gave several recitations, and Mr. B. Vorley gave an address illustrated by the several diagrams and chemical experiments in taking the alcohol from beer. The room was full and the programme greatly appreciated. Votes of thanks were accorded the visitors. Mr. Thew presided, and also accompanied the singing.
