Later Father Christmas arrived and presented each child with a large Stocking—gift of the American air base housing committee. The tea was a great success, thanks to parents and friends.

Guests of honour were the Rev. R. Giles, Mrs Fairey, Mrs. Boast and Major Wjzbi.

The afternoon ended with carols sung by the children.
